About Me
I believe that meaningful change begins with insight. As the first person in my family to attend therapy, I've experienced firsthand the transformative power of breaking generational patterns.
Since then, I’ve completed my master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy at Cal Poly, SLO and traineeship at Transitions Mental Health Association in Santa Maria.
My accepting and warm therapeutic style is carved from vast life experiences from serving as a Merchant Marine to navigating the challenges of solo parenting. I have incorporated resilience, adaptation, and the courage it takes to seek change in my life, and you can too.
My previous clinical training involved working with clients who faced extreme mental health and social challenges in the community where they lived, often unhoused.
I have a particular passion for working with teens and their parents. As a parent of teenagers myself, I understand firsthand the unique challenges of this transformative life stage. The act of helping couples become closer is also a skill of mine.
I’ve been privileged to help people who have improved their lives under the most adverse circumstances, and I look forward to bringing this level of dedication and commitment to you.
